How do I contact SRC?
For Special Event information, Lessons, Arena hire, General enquires, Employment opportunities, contact  01299 251125, or fill out our enquiry from.

Are there any additional costs?
You may wish to bring some change for snacks and refreshments. Staff can keep money safe during the day so that it doesn’t get lost.

Are their any age limits or restrictions?
Lessons are available for people aged 4 – 16.

How are children assessed on their riding ability?
Riding ability is assessed before the first lesson and put into the following categories:-
 

  • 5 Beginners Lesson
  • 4 Walk & Trot
  • 3 Walk, Trot & learning to canter
  • 2 Walk, Trot, Canter & learning to jump
  • 1 Walk, Trot, Canter & Jumping

What is the Enrolment Form?
All new clients must fill in an enrolment form and have an assessment lesson. This requires contact, medical, emergency contact details and it must be completed by the end of your first lesson with us. An instructor will fill in the final section as they will grade you on your current abilities.

Is there a first aid area?
All of our full time staff are full trained first aiders and we have a first aid area on site.

Can you hire riding hats?
We supply British Standard Riding Hats to all clients free of charge. However, if you ride regularly we advise you purchase your own hat. All of our hats are up to the PAS015 standard and will be correctly fitted before your first lesson. All hats are colour coded so children can collect their correct hat size prior to each lesson.

How much does a 1hr lesson cost?
Our lessons are split 1/2 hr Horse Riding and 1/2 hr pony care. The cost for this is £16. For more information please visit the lessons page.

What is pony care?
During lessons children will learn about all aspects of pony care including anything from tacking up and feeding to land management

Can you hire the facilities?
Stourport Riding Centre’s facilities are available for hire for events including small competitions, clinics and demonstrations. The Outdoor, Indoor and warm up arenas are available for hire when they are not in use for lessons. For more information or to arrange hire please contact us on: 01299 251125.

What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing is recommended jodhpurs, leggings, or jogging bottoms are ideal. Footwear should be smooth soled with a low heel (no trainers).
